Default 116 cubic inch twin cam

hi mike i was wondering what the differance would be between running a tw67g cam and a woods tw8g.im going to try for about 200 psi cranking pressure.the heads will have a performance seat grind and super trapp exhaust 2 into 1 im looking for more tq than hp the motor will be in a bagger also fuel injected with direct link. i know the woods cam has aggresive ramps and will probibly be ticky compared to the andrews cam if you need more info please let me know thanks

The TW8 has been one my favourites. The 67's have slightly more duration with similar intake closing time so cylinder pressures will be similar at cranking and low speed but the 67 will build more pressurre at higher rpms due to increased cylinder fill, if the exhaust allows. Since your looking for tq vs hp I would recommend the TW8. Mechanical compression will have to be around 10.5 to get your 200lbs cranking pressure. The ticking is more about pinion runnout than the fast ramps. If you have more than .003 you'll have the tappet tick with either cam.

If you are doing the work yourself I woudl say go with bigger valves. It is typicaly best to trust your porting guy with these decisions as they know what works best with the rest of their work. This is where choosing a good porting shop makes the difference.
