Due to track and weather conditions, fuel classes ran 1/8 mile only for qualifying. Full 1/4 mile runs were the fare for Sunday. Without a good 1/4 mile tune and knowing we had to run a number against TAk, smoked the tire in the first round and put a cylinder out. Both Tak and Steve had the same problem but Tak was able to relight aat the last moment and surge ahead to win.
