'08 Abs Clunking Noise

Hi Mike... I just completed an advanced rider course this past weekend. Some of the exercises involved quick acceleration with hard braking. My '08 FLHTC w/ABS consistently made a loud clunking sound. Later I tried braking hard with just the rear brake and under this condition the clunk sound would happen every time. It was loud enough that all the riders heard it and were wondering what was wrong. Best I could describe it is like a sloppy drivetrain clunk type noise, not just ABS clicking. The clutch was dis-engaged during these exercises. There was another '08 there, he also has ABS, had him to the same test, sure enough a loud clunk. Is this normal for the ABS touring bikes?
