I am looking for some specs for my SE 44mm carb. what are the jet sizes? I bought the carb at the salvage yard and it didn't come with any paperwork.
thanks !
The jets installed may or maynot be the originals. You may be best off purchasing a tuners kit p/n 27419-99. This will give you a complete selection for tuning to the bike to be used on.

G'day,
I'm interested in anything to do with the SE 44mm carby. I'm tossing up between taking my 2000 Deuce out to a 95 kit or not. This option's getting a big nod from all the local experts (barflys) but I'm thinking all that additional reciprocating mass might not be worth it. I'm really happy with the SE 204's I had installed four years ago - I'm just thinking it's time for a bit of tinkering.
So I'm leaning towards keeping the 204's and installing the 44mm carby onto the stock 88in.
Any advice or experience with this set up would be helpful. Apart from that it's stock as a rock, but seems to be the only standard(ish) Deuce in Sydney that's able to lift the front wheel in second gear.
Must have been having a good day in the factory when she was built...
Since the 95ci cast pistons weigh the same as the 88ci's, the mass will not be an issue. Best bang for buck, especially from a tq point.
Normally I would say the stock 40 CV is fine when used with an 88ci motor and stock heads. We havefound that the 44 does give a little better perfomarnce but not a great amount. When used with ported heads the increase is much better. There wold be no real downside to trying a 44 with your 204 cams and since you have a "happy" motor, it may respond pretty well. You may see a minor dip in tq around 2500 vs the 40. If you go with the 95ci kit, the increase will be worth the cost of the 44.
