Mike,
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Many of us just like to ride, hit the switch and go you know, Thanks. Now for the questions;

I have a 2007 Ultra. I put the 64985-07 SE slip ons on it, and the top end SE 103 kit, bike has stock cams. Bike has the Stage 1 download that you have to purhcase with the Stage 1 kit. I bought this March 07 and now have 10,000 miles on it. Overall the bike runs great. About 40% of my riding is 2 up and touring..

I am thinking of having the SERT installed by local HD dealer to help with some of the heat and am wondering if the 255 cams are needed also, OR will just having the SERT and a tune do the job. Reduce the heat, little more HP/TQ. Richen the AFR from whatever the Stage 1 download gives me. Problably still lean even with the download. I am just an old hippie not hotrodder anymore. Owned many many HD. I am very Happy with the bike overall.

Thanks much for your help..

The SERT will allow the ability to address issues such as heat. This ability, and satisfaction with the results, depends entirely on the tuners skill and proficiency with SERT.

The 255 cams would not be required. They would, increase tq from 2-3.5K rpm vs stock cams. Whether stock or 255's, the SERT tuning process would account for them.
