HI Mike, If someone was interested in upgrading an 06 88 c.i., what can be done to get some decent numbers with the exchange of the 96 c.i. jugs & all the stock parts of a 07 ? I have all the pieces from my 96 c.i., and if they wanted to do something without spending a lot of money to get a little more performance, like low to midrange hp/tq, what can be done? I know there is little information here, but i have the parts and he wanted to use them if there was an increase in power to be had.

thanks

Sorrry, not Mike and not any kind of an expert by any stretch of the imagination but I do know that the bore on the 96" motors is the same as the 88". The pistons are a little different because of the stroker crank but the jugs are exactly the same. The stroker crank with it's longer stroke is where the increased displament (cubic inches) comes from.....

The cylinders are the same. The pistons are not, different wristpin location for the longer stroke. The flywheels are not only longer stroke but have a different sprocket shaft and are not enterchangeable to earlier models.
