Mike,
Dan Baisley suggested I talk to you about an upgrade. I took delivery of my 2005 FLHTCI with 95" stage II SE 203 cams, and slipons. I've since added a PC III (by a local H-D dealer) and a .89 overdrive H-D 6 speed. I'm looking for more grunt and have considered a Nikosil 107 up to an S&S 116. I ride across country solo with camping gear. 3500 rpm is the upper end of my cruising range, the bike runs sweet at 3000-3200. I would like to add some uphill passing power and the ability to hold 6th gear going up a grade (try going south of Tonapah, NV). I'd like to go with gear drive cams, left side Timken bearinng upgrade, 2 into 1 D&D. Can you help me with some ideas?
Thanks

Mike

With the 6 spd OD trans your running at lower rpms than bikes with 5 speeds and so we need to look at the 2000-4000 rpm range. This means that PEAK tq and HP numbers may not be as high as some other combo's from 3000+ but these same combo's will give LESS tq in the 2-3.5K range than what follows.

I would look at the Wood Auto Knightprowler TW8 cams. Keep compression around 10.2-10.4 and a good tune. Good for either the 107 or 116. The increase in cubes will help with low end tq. With these I wowuld go with the D&D Boarzilla and quiet baffle. If you stay with 103ci or less, use the D&D fatcat and big bore baffle. The Axtell 117 is also a good consideration when looking at the 116.

We are looking at having a cams made just for your type situation but we're a ways out at this time.
