I just read an article in AIM about ignition, coils, and ignition wires. One issue of note mentioned was that the later model TC96 models should maintain the stock plug wires. Reason being, aftermarket wires can interfere with the stock ECU causing check engine light and "limp home" conditions.
My concern is specifically about the Screaming Eagle wires. I bought a set of red-colored ones to offset the black bob look. I just did a Stage I, have yet to really ride the bike as yet (winter in the Northeast), but I don't really favor the idea of riding next spring, and getting phantom check engine lights and error codes.
Mike, has this been addressed by the MoCo? Have the SE wires been cleared for error-free use on the new TC96 bikes? I know the SE wires are an HD product, but still not stock. Looking for info...I'd rather not find out next spring that I need to replace them with the stock wires - love the red look.
