I have a 07 Road Glide and would like to convert my existing non bearing cam plate to the new SE camplate. So I want to know can I use this new camplate on a 07? If so do I use 06 gear drive cams which have the bearings?
Any feedback will be appreciated.
The billet plate was designed to allow 06E motors the use of the 07L higher volume oil pump. I suspect it could be used in 07 models when used with cams either modified or designed for the larger inner crank case cam bearings. Andrews offers cams to use the 07 plate in earlier motors but do not offer them in the opposit format. I've seen some early 07 cams with the smaller inner cam journel using sleeves to increase their diameter to the larger bearing size. This could be an option but the sleeves would have to be custom made as I'm not aware of anyone offering them seperately.

So if I am understanding you, the inner bearing is different on the 06 engine than the 07 case? I assume that the cam plate mounting holes are the same between 06 and 07.
Yes, the hydraulic/roller chain cams/cases use a larger inner cam to case bearings. The hole mount locations are the same.
