I was wondering if you have any suggestions on tuning a 95" build w/Baisley street ported heads, 9.8CR, Andrews 37G, PCIII and V&H Big Radius exhaust.
I had it tuned by a local shop and the peak horsepower was 85 and the peak torque was 95. I'm not sure where the AFR should be but I think it's running a bit lean.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I should have had better results than this. Or are these pipes killing it that much?

Is the PC a USB version and, if so, was it tuned in Advanced Mode with each cylinder done seperatley? Also, are the quoted numbers 4th gear SAE? 4th/SAE will show lower than 5th/STD when comparing (charts on this site are 5th/STD). What is you fuel milage? Is it detonating (pinging)? These can be indicators of too lean.

The VH Big Rad is a little restrictive for an aggressive 95. Yours is not real aggressive but is probably borderline as far as the pipe is concerned. You can remove the baffles and trim them back to about 3-4 inches total length for more top end hp. But, with this mod, your low end tq will dip pretty hard around 2.7k and it will be much louder. Just depends on how you ride the bike and where you wish the best power.

Mike - Sorry but I know next to nothing about PC and tunning. Reviewed the packaging and paperwork and looks like PCIII USB. How could I tell whether it was tunned in advanced mode (ask my tunner?). I know we discussed the capability of tunning each cylinder independently of one another.
The runs were in 4th/SAE.
I haven't checked the fuel milage but have not noticed any pinging. The AFR is almost perfectly straight and at about 14.

I definitely want the power in the low - mid range. The pipe is already loud and raspy so I don't need it any worse.

One more question - do you know of any GOOD tunners in the SW Ohio area?

Thanks for your help.

Oh, by the way...this site is great. Wish I would have discovered a long time ago!!!

Thank you for the kind words. You can review Fuel tables 1 and 2 (go to "promote to advanced"). If the values are all the same, the tune was done in Basic mode. At WOT the fuel line should be closer to 13.0 and flat except right at the very begining (1500-2000k, sometimes tough to get this area perfect). 10-4 on the pipe mode. Sorry, do not have a list of tuners (wish I did!!!). "V-Twin Forums" has a "Best Tuners" list and this may be of some help.
