Mike can you suggest initial settings for timing and advance curve on DTT ignition for my Dyna Superglide? The motor is a 124 TC. The heads are HD 103+ ported by T-Man. The pistons are flat tops with 210 # cranking pressure. Cams are T-Man 650's. Exhaust is Cycle Shack 2 inch tapered duals with no baffles. Final gearing is 3.48.
As recommended by DTT, initial and slope of 2 works well with big motors. We have run some slopes as high as 7 but you'll need a dyno to really dial final settings.

Wow...that is going to be a lot of power for a dyna chassis. Have you done any mods to your chassis for this kind of power? Are you still belt drive?
Thanks,
Sean

Yes I have done everything I know to do to date. This was a FXDX to start with so it had the adjustable forks and what passes at HD for good brakes. The fork innards have been massaged with heavier springs and revalved by Race Tech. The shocks were changed to custom Works shocks. I installed a steering damper and a Sputh chassis kit. This motor was a T-Man 117 before the recent upgrade to a 124 and made 145 HP as a 117, which made it virtually un- ridable under full power above 100 MPH. The bike would go into a serious high speed wobble above 100 to 110 no matter how well everything was adjusted on anything but a perfect road. The shocks and Sputh kit were installed after the 124 upgrade and calmed things down considerably. It still gets a little loose unless everything is adjusted perfectly (tire pressures, rear wheel alignment, chain tension ect.). No I am not running a belt drive. Tom Reiser says he can tell which customers that run his serious engines and run belts really use the power by how quickly they chuck the belts and install chains. As far as I know the best big twin chassis HD has made (for performance guys) was the FXR which I believe Eric Buell had a hand in designing.
