hi mike,

if i can't stand the heat of the stock header system on my 98 road king. what's my best bet? 80 ci., power commander, gerolomy screamin' eagle heads, and throttle body, W6H cam, 9.5 c.r., and SE air cleaner.

From a tuning point of veiw, adding fuel and timing in the low and mid range often helps (retarded timing puts heat in the pipe through high EGT's). A true dual exh like the Rineharts or Vortex will help and many have done so just for this reason. Less heat off the rear pipe, but still some on the left side. Get them with the quite baffles to boost low end torque. Do not use the Bassanni Power Curve TD's, you'll have MORE heat.
