I've got a VRSCDX that will have a 260 rear tire, the new SuperTrapp slipons, topless. I'd like to get it dyno'd, but don't have a Power Commander or anything like that. Do I need one in order to make use of the Dyno? Also, what is a typical time/cost for the dyno on a V-Rod?

Thanks!

If possible, purchase the SE Race Tuner vs the PC, much better at tuning. Yes, it'll be required to allow tuning changes. The dyno is the tool we use to decide and identify kwhat changes are required and to verify the correctness of those changes. You can have base dyno runs made without a tuning device but no corrections or tuning can happen. Also the changes your making will require tuning. We charge $500.00 for SERT custom mapping doing both cylinders independantly and you get a copy of your map on a CD to take with you.

So, how much do you charge for a SE Race Tuner? Also, the $500 for custom mapping includes the dyno time?

Also, assume a stock bike. Any power gains to be had from having it tuned? Also, what would you estimate the power gains would be going with the new SuperTrapp slipons, topless, SE Air Filter?

Double Post, sorry!

With the changes made, a good tune should give some increase but it may not be much (dyno charts only show 100% throttle, and on a VR the fuel/timing may not be all that far off). The greater benefits are driveability and reduced risk of motor damage from lean conditions and detonation. The $500 is for the dyno time/mapping. You'll also know how much of a gain the new components gave you.
