Mike, I have a 07 RKC with some modifications such a SEAC, VH Ovals, and a 110ci kit. I did purchase a SERT. I was told that I if I sell the RK, I can keep the SERT and had a dealer match it to another HD. I have had others say once the VIN is coded in the SERT it cannot be changed. Which is true? Thanks.

The ALDL, "black box", marries to the ECM of the bike first used with and CANNOT be used on an ECM on another bike. The marriage takes place with the first successful calibration download to the bikes ECM. Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT marry to the VIN but to a seperate code within the ECM. It is possible to move BOTH the married ECM and SERT to another bike, but not recommended. The tuning software does work with more than one ALDL ("black box, key"). Data mode can be used with multiple bikes but does not allow cals to be downloaded to ECM's other than that to which the ALDL is married.
