07 deluxe

Picking up an 07 103" Deluxe soon. CA bike and coming with Heritage Springer split duals and catalytic slip ons. I'm going to add a PCIII and want to add some different slip ons, preferably a fishtail or other nostalgic look. Can you make a suggestion as to which slip ons might have the performance edge?

The nostalgic look and performance may be something of a conflict but almost any good slip-on is going to perform better than the cat's. The Samson Silver Bullets will give the look but not great performers compared to larger volume The Supertrapp slip-ons offer good performance and a choice of end caps that may fit the bill. There may be other choices I'm not aware of or have not tested.

Know that the PCIII eleminates the O2 function of your 07.

Thanks Mike. If the nostalgic look was not a part of the decision, would there be a more obvious choice? I hear that Rush is a decent performer.

So if I use SERT instead of PC will I still be by-passing the 02 sensors? As a CA bike, is there a downside to either?

No, SERT retains the O2 function and allows selection of where and when they are active or not. You'll have to check with your local dealer as to the implications of these changes. Ca. is getting VERY strict about all this.
