Mike
I wondered over to you site from the V-Twin forum and am impressed with the info you have here.
I have an 07 RK Classic with about 500 miles on it and am looking for some initial changes to the intake and the exhaust.
We are looking for an increase in TQ with a reasonable increase in DB for now.
In the future we plan to go with 110, head and cams but for now this is all. Probably with a close looped system like the Thundermax for the EFI.
Not sure if a future SERT would do this as well.

On the intake I would go with the SE AC but the exhaust could either be the SE touring mufflers 64985-07, the SUPERTRAPP SE mufflers 128-65115 or the Rinenhart True Duals. I assume the download would do well for the mufflers but a SERT would be needed for the TD.
I would be curious about your thoughts on this. Great site.

Thanks for the kind words. SERT would be recommended with any exhaust other than the 07's and retains the O2 closed loop capability. I'm a big fan of the V&H classis round slip-ons for all around good performance but as the motor grows to 110 they may be a bit restrictive, also true of the Rinehart TD's. A good 2-1 will be hard to beat in that scenario, we like the D&D pipes.

Thanks for the reply Mike
If I went with the V&H mufflers you suggested , what SERT map would be a good initial fit. Would like to run the motor for a few hundred miles more before we hit the dyno.
Would the same map work for the Rinehart TD?

With the slip-ons and stock engine, SERT map 159PZ003 will be a good starting point but may need some tweeking to account for non-HD mufflers. None of the SERT "canned" maps will be appropriate for a true dual system. If I had to start with one as a base, I would use one for a staggered dual system (S159AE003 for example), but substantial editing would be required. We sell SERT maps and have them for the RHTD's and several motor combo's. They are $50.00 each and would be worth the investment if you go with the RH's.

Thanks Mike
I am leaning toward the RH TD and if I go that way will reach out for your map.
It would be for a stock 96 with the SE AC as the only modification outside of the exhaust.
For now, since the SE mufflers flow about the same as stock (an assumption on my part here) if I just did the SE AC with the stock exhaust what map would you use - assume that I have a SERT (01F) to use for the download. Can't see any reason to go with the slip-ons now and then the TD in a couple of months (unless I am missing something here).
Also based on your comments on the 110 I may stick to the 103 when we upgrade the motor.
Thanks again for the info

The R TD I would use would have the quiet baffles to deal with the low/mid TQ issues.

For the stock exh with air cleaner, recommend map 159PZ003 but you'll need the CD from the "G" version.

I doubled checked and have the "H" CD. cal # 78 1580 SE A/C & Race Exhaust is listed as 159PZ003
Any issue running with that map until I get to a dyno in about 500 miles? SE A/C and stock exhaust.
Thanks for the advice. If I was closer I would bring it in to your shop but OR is a pull from GA ;)

Yea, kinda far!! You'll be OK so long as no long steady state runs are made, vary the throttle/rpm's. This means the bike will not spend any lenght of time in possible lean area's until you can get it correctly mapped.

Thanks Mike, I may just go ahead with the TD. I sent an email to Jo about that map.
