I have a 2006 Ultra which is due for its 20,000 mile service. Bike is 18 months old... Should I get the fork fluid changed at the 20,000 service as recommended?

Absolutely, condensation is the worry. With 20k, the fluid is likely to have a far amount of moisture in it which eats at the finish on the tubes causing seal issues not to mention the valving will not be responding as designed.

Depending on how you like the performance of the front end you might want to go with a heaver oil, the stock is 7W, many guys I know have gone to 15W. It will ride a little harder, but they say that the bike handles much better. I'm going to change to 15W before summer.
