I bought new crank, bigger bore cylinders, s&s 585, and bigger bore HTCC pistons from a guy that changed his mind. I have a set of HTCC-CNC heads that will need to be freshened up. I was wondering, since 113 piston is dished flat top and HTCC head is open chamber type I will have no quinch or squish area. Would I be better off using a closed chamber type head such as SE performance, or other make, that would give me some squish area? I would hate to build a 113 with lower numbers than a similar 95 or 103.
Thank you
Barry

The 113 piston for the HTCC heads should be raised around the perimeter with a dish in the center, this maintains a quench area to the head. Not perfect (the head is "as cast"). Baisley Hi-Performance has a CNC program that matches the head perfectly to the piston improving not just quench area but compression, this is what we've been doing.
