Hi mike, I have read your forum for some time and it is by far the most informative site period... My setup is...
2005 Ultra
stage1 ecm
big sucker a/c
Power commander 111 usb
SE stage 2- 95" with 203 cams
Vance and Hines Classic Slip-ons
Stock headers- I have a plug with a 1/2' hole drilled in it in the pipe just off the rear head about 4" down the pipe. (same pipe you do your Y mod in)This gives me true duals, sort of.

Removing stock headers and adding Vance and Hines True Dual headers next week.

I had the bike dynoed and the numbers were dissappointing, I thought. It ran 77.8 hp / 88.3 tq.

I am now installing Vance and Hines head pipes. ( mainly to get rid of some the heat on the seat) My question is 3 fold. 1st) Do you think I will gain anything by adding the V&H header pipes? 2nd) I am strongly considering adding a Harley Race Tuner and getting rid of the Power Commander. What effect do you think each of these changes would have on my performance numbers? (what numbers are realistic) It just seems like you guys get much higher numbers, when I look at your dyno sheets. 3rd) Do you have a Race Tuner map for this new setup? If so, do you give them out? I live in Las Vegas and there isn't a certified dyno center for Power Commander. It is actually hard to find anyone here to do a dyno tune. The local dealer will do custom maps for the race tuner for about $500.00. I am not sure how good they are. Any help is appreciated.

I should have added that the Heads are stock also.

Pull the plug out of the pipe. This type of true duals has not worked well as evidence by the "Full Sac" conversion (similar idea). Do the Y pipe mod, run the Classic slip-ons and stay with the PC3 USB, but have each cylinder seperatly mapped (the USB version allows for this). Note that our dyno numbers are in 5th gear using STD corrections. If back on the dyno, simply ask the operator to do a 5th gr, as a last run (if they are using 4th). They then can select STD and print a chart that can be compared to ours. You should see approx. 82hp and 95tq. The SERT will not give enough more hp (if any) to make the conversion worth the price, with your setup. The true dual conversion may actually hurt overall performance when compared to the above recommendation.
We do sell maps for $50.00, both SERT and PC when we have an exact match to a combination requested. I'll check and see what we have available.
Thanks, Mike

Thanks Mike, I will pull the plugs out of the headers. I've already done the Y pipe mod. I am still thinking about putting on the Vance and Hines dual headers with my Classics. I really like the idea of cutting down the heat to the seat. Do you have a map for my setup with the true duals and/or the factory headers with the Y pipe mod? My setup is...
2005 Ultra
Stage1 ECM
95" with flat top pistons and 203 cams (Screamin Eagle)
big sucker ac
V&H Classics
PC 111 USB

Do you have any idea of the power difference between the two? I appreciate your help, thanks!

Mike, Well, I put the Vance and Hines dual headers with my Classics on today. Do you have a map for my setup? I would really like to find one where both cylinders are tuned independently. Even if you have one that you think is close would probably be better than what I have now.
