'07 ultra classic

I am seriously considering buying a new ultra. I have heard of a couple of issues that concern me. So I thought, who better to ask than the people who work on them. One problem I have been hearing about is ,the rear cylinder overheating.Is this caused from running too lean due to emmisions requirements? Also I have heard of noisy transmissions. I heard that some of these problems can be fixed by re-mapping. I would really appreciate any info on these. I would hate to drop 20 g's on a bike that needs a lot of work right out of the gate. :)

HD has revised the mapping on the 07's and offers to recalibrate any early models with the updates that address's both these issue's. This is for stock "legal" bikes only. Bikes with modifications typ. get these issues addressed through the mapping as a function of those mods. Some of this a result of ever tightening emmisions regs. but we also do not want to base the entire world on a small sample. We've had very few comments on these and the 07's are very good motorcycles.

Thanks for the info. Now I just hope there will be enough bikes to choose from, due to the strike in PA.
