'99 Buell X1 - Pipe, Intake = need to dyno tune?

I picked up a well used '99 X1 (fuel injected) with near 45K on it. The previous owner had installed a White Brothers exhaust but no other AM parts that I am aware of. Recently the rear head gasket let go. I was wondering if the pipe change would have contributed to the head gasket failure and if remapping should have been done? If I change from the factory intake to AM such as Hypercharger or such will that make dyno tuning a necessity? Sorry, not much experience yet with these guys. Service pointed me in your direction.

It should be tuned but the only device that allows for this is the Techno Research Direct link. We do not have a lot of experiance with this and so would be learning curve for us.
