Mike,

What needs to be checked and modified to put a SE 50mm TB on a 2002 Ultra?
TPS connector, IAC connector, injector connectors are the things I found out.
Using old style (2002) manifoldbrackets.

On another post I read that the intake should be enlarged to 1.730"

Did you try this yourself? Did it work out?

btw, which injectors are supplied with this TB: 4.89 iirc?

Yes, the injector harness ends, IAC and TPS connectors as you've found. Two IAC wires just need to be reversed, the connector is OK. The SE 50 uses a 1.730 I.D. port diameter and the ports in the heads should be matched. You'll also have to die grind a little clearance for the flange bolts as the reliefs in the body will not match up to the earlier flanges. We are not sure of the actual flow numbers of the SE 50 injectors (on my list of to do's) but they are higher capacity than the 8's or 25's. So far we've put 125hp through them with no problems and the body itself only flows enough air for this hp number (maybe 130) so the need to go larger does not seem to be there. We have not put a 50 on an earlier bike (easier to use the Kuryakin unit), what we have done is put earlier setups on several 06L bikes as part of our t-body developement. You'll see one on a 113 magazine build for American Iron coming out in April/May 07.
Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Thank you for your very quick reply.
The limit for the SE TB (125/130HP) is it crankshaft are rearwheel? This paricular bike (95ci) has approx 105-110 rearwheel HP with stock TB. Map is falling down rapidly when the rpm's go up and the duty cycle of the injectors is (too) high.

As the cost of the SE TB is very low, I thought this was the way to go.

Do you think I have to reconsider?
Which wires have to be reversed. Do you have the colors?

Thanks again.

2002 IAC :

A = Blue / Green
B = Brown / Red
C = Black / Pink
D = Black / Orange

When installing the SE 50 on an earlier model, you'll need to change the wiring as follows to the IAC connector (in addition the other harness end changes for the TPS and Injectors);
A=Black/Pink
B=Brown/Red
C=Blue/Green
D=Black/Orange
Note that A and C are reversed from your 2002 model. You will have idle and drivability problems if not done.
Thanks, Mike
