Mike, can you tell me the differences between the following Kiehin (sp?) needles? N65C, N72S and N86E. I know the N65C is from the early sportster and the other two are from FXRP's. Which one theoretically would give the best MPG? Thanks guest
H-D does not publish these specs but from the best source I can find the N86E is leaner than the N72S. If the numbers run true the N65C will be richer than the N72S, which seems correct since we used to use the XL needle to richen FL carbs for better throttle response and mid range torque. In theory the leanest will give best fuel milage but may also introduce a lean cough at steady part throttle.
Thanks, Mike
