I have a 07 FLHX and I had Python slip on exaust installed at the dealer. Later I added a K&N air filter in the stock air box. The dealer told me I did not need to have it remapped because I just put the filter in the stock air box and did not use the complete high flow breather kit. Is this true or do I need to have it remapped.

I did have the recalibration recall work done.

Thanks for any information

The "correct" thing to do is to remap, I'm not going to say you "have to". I am afraid the Python exhuast combined with the air cleaner cartridge may be just enough to tip it over in favour of remapping, admittedly borderline. I agree with your dealer in that the K&N inside the stock air box really does change air flow that much. You would be OK if you were using the 50 state legal mufflers. With the Pythons and K&N I have to err on the side of caution and what is correct as what to recommend.
Thanks, Mike
