Mike, last week I was in and we had a discussion about breaking in a new rebuilt (top end) motor (04 fltri, inj.). Your input was based on Mototune but with your own twist (or maybe his method is a twist on your method:-)). You showed me where to find the info on this website but I am unable to find it now. Did it move? Please give me the directions to find it here. I know/think it is under "dyno tuning" or "dyno charts". I have the bike all back together and have fired it up and anxious to get it broke in "properly" before coming to Portland and having you run it across the dyno....Thanks, Ron Capper

The details of our break-in process is not on our site. The procedure is designed to be used with a dyno in place of a street process. The first 500 miles on the street are where most of the critical break-in occurs. Three things you do NOT want to do during this period is 1;do not run at a steady rpm for an extended time, I.E. vary the throttle, 2; do not run the motor at high RPM's, work up to progressively higher rpm's as milage accumulates, 3; do not put a sustained heavy load on the motor, use rpm's and gears that require the least amount of work from the motor (better to have a little more rpm vs. inducing a heavy load while trying got keep rpm's down). Our dyno methodology is under "forum", "dyno charts", "reading dyno charts" (at the bottom of the list), at the bottom of this there is an attachement further explaining our methodology in response to some web comments.
Thanks, Mike
