I am a new streetglige owner and a tech. This is my own personal bike so it showcases my work. Now the rest of the story my existing baggage. Well maybe not bad at all. I want to use the Revolution Performance 107" combination and T-man cnc 194" valve heads and a FatCat with False, I have either performance or std baffle to use (have these parts already). I will adjust the heads and quench to get 190psi ccp and am looking at all options for cams. Considering SE257, HQ575, S&S 585, SE251, T-man???. Could be swayed to others. Looking for a broad fat torque curve and minimal dip and respectable horsepower. Should I change the TB and if so please recomend a product? Any other items I may have left out? Does the plan seem sound?
Latus will be tuning this and break-in, I will heat cycle and initially tune with SERT
TIA
Don
I would recommend one of TR's cams, since most head porters know what works best with their head. He now has some for the hydraulic tensioner setups. Possibles would be the 625 or 590, maybe the 650 if you are willing to up the compression to suit. Not familar with the HQ 575 (i.e. have not tested), but timing wise may be a little narrow for your motor size.
Larger throttle body would be a benifit. Depending on the HP potential of your motor, the SE 50 will get you to 120-125. Larger aftermarket versions are available and will net larger numbers if your motor has that potential. We will have our production available by (hopefully) end of feb. 07 for 06 and later models. It features a replaceable venturi that allows it to be any size required. Targetted to retail for $999.95 and includes two venturi's, manifold and complete air package capable of 150hp (optional larger injectors required for hp above 130). Should support 200+hp with velocity stack( we've been testing Beta versions for two years now, you'll see several dyno charts on this web site with Latus throttle bodies). It is a unique design and offers some key defferences from others. Until then, Zippers, HP Inc and Kuyrakyn have offerings.
Thanks, Mike
