Riser Mount Radio

I have a 2005 Road King Classic. I want to install a Road Tech Riser Mount Radio part #76363-03. The parts manual says this radio is not compatible with my Nostalgic Saddlebag guard rails part # 91265-98A. What is the reason? Is there a way around this problem without removing my guard rails?

It's the antenna mount. The guard runs overtop where the antenna would sit. It's possible a bracket could be fabbed to work but we have not done this and do not know what other possible problems may be encountered.
