Any information or experience with the RoadBurner Touring Pro pipes for a 2007 FLHX with SE Stage I (possibly a bolt-on 103" down the road)?
I'm thinking of going with a "True Dual" type exhaust system and these look interesting. They feature a "stepped" design, which makes sense to me, but where I get confused is with the elimination of the crossover "Y" pipe.
One of the reasons I want to go with a true dual is because I want to get rid of the "Y" pipe connection and the crossover under the seat. I'm mainly concerned about heat, but I don't want to lose performance because of it.
Most of the true dual manufacturers seem to claim better performance with a fully functioning rear pipe. But I've also seen folks say that you lose performance when you eliminate the crossover.
Does it really make a difference in performance, or is it all a matter of tuning?
