exhaust on 07 softail

Hi Mike, your site is all informative, I just bought a new flstc and am looking for a better exhaust system that will give me a little more sound and performance, I have a RACE TUNER KIT. I'm running cycle shack's on my other softail, any recommendations? thanks Dean

If you use the "legal" slip-ons from H-D, you can use a map off the SERT file without the need for custom mapping. You may want a little more than these offer, then you have two choices, either slip-ons or a full system. With slip-ons, you do not have to worry about whether the system has O2 port's or not. Rush and Rhinehart both make very good slip-ons. Others are out there and comes down to cosmetics and sound quality basd on personnel taste. Full systems will provide more performance but are currently limited to offerings with the O2 ports and fitment to the 6 speed trans. Currently, D&D, Rhinehart and Vance and Hines offer systems (V&H does not yet offer for all models) with others I may not be aware of coming on-line daily. My favourite is the D&D two into one Fatcat with the Rhinehart second (I like the looks of the Rhinehart better but the D&D produces a better torque curve). All the non-H-D systems will require custom mapping with SERT.
