SE Race Tuning HELP

I trying to tune my 2002 screamin eagle road king with the SE tuner kit. I'm using a laptop that requires a usb/serial adapter. When hooked up, it reads and matches the ECM PN. I'm trying to load one of the provided files. When I program the ECM, it runs to 20% and quits, stating "EMC is not alowng access for programing". Any ideas???????

Two possibilities come to mind. One, you may have to reflash back to a stock calibration (through digital tech) if the ECM has been previuosly reprogramed with an SE cal. This resets all the base VIN and other I.D.s to allow SERT to work properly. The stock cal is not charged but the labor to reflash would be shop min. Pos. two is that the ECM may be currupted and needs to be recovered. Follow the instructions for ECM recovery in your SERT help file. There may be other reasons (bad cable connections, low battery, ?) but these are the two most common.
