I new to your site. What a great site you have. I have just purchased a 2002 FLHRSEI that has no modifications done to it. The 95 ci engine has the SE 203 cams with 9.25 to 1 flat top pistons. My first modification will be SE Air Cleaner & Breather kit, SE Touring Mufflers (65115-98) and SE race tuner. I'm a heavy guy that wants as much low end (1500-4800) torque as possible. Any suggestion? I want to stay with all SE parts.

Thanks for the compliments. The SE slip-ons (65115-98) have a fairly deep torque dip at 3000 RPM which goes contrary to what we are trying to achieve. The new SE 50 state legal slip-ons may be a better choice from a low end torque point of view. Even though listed for '07 and later, they will fit the '02. Custom mapping via Race Tuner will be required. You should see approx 4-6 hp and tq gain vs stock.
Thanks, Mike

Thanks for the info. I haven't found any other site that compare to yours. Are there other manufacturers that provide better low in torque than the SE's? Would I gain anything with true duals? What would I gain installing SE heads with the existing 9.25 : 1 flatop pistons and the 203 cam?
Thanks

There are three SE heads to choose from. The SE "Performance" heads are compatible with the flat top pistons and raise the compression to 10.0:1 (they are decked .060 from the factory). The HTCC heads require the HTCC pistons. The 203 cams will be OK (a little more cam [251's] would be better to take full advantage of the heads). The only true duals that would give enough gain to be worth the change are Rhinehart's. But they exhibit the typ. torque dip at around 2500 rpm (several dyno charts on this site for these). The Bassanni "Power Curve" true duals can show very good torque with some combo's but not so good with others, they've been difficult to predict. A better choice for your application might be the Vance and Hines "Classic" round slip-ons. These show very good low end torque yet also good high power. Much better than the SE's. We do a modification to the stock "y" pipe to help all work better yet.
Thanks, Mike

What kind of modification can be done to the stock Y exhaust system? What is the gain from the change?

Congratulations on your new ride!!! Only suggestion would be to go with the new "legal" '07 SE mufflers, similar to part number 64985-07. They will have less of a torque dip (vs. the 65115-98) in the very area you are trying to improve. They do fit earlier models.
