Has there been any recent concrete information on the 07's and the time table for after market exausts, upgrading to a 103,or 110 including Big Bore kits etc.? Since I waited on the 07 (hopefully not in vain), all I've heard is that because of the 02 sensors, EPA restrictions, the 07's is not going to be able to be upgraded as in the past models. Now I find that hard to believe , but I respect your answers a lot more than some of the other folk talking. Nothing I've seen so far really speaks about what I am asking . Hopefully you can shed some light on this.

So long as the bike is not registered in California, all the past performance mods still apply. Only now what used to be a 95ci top half upgrade is a 103ci upgrade. The 110 kit (was 113) does require the motor to be pulled, tore down to machine the cases and then reassembled. Cam (already available as 06 Dyna cams) and piston choices for these motors will differ from the 95's but will be sim. to what has been used for 103/113's in the past. Watch for kits to be introduced soon on this site sim. to our "Executive" and "Boss" packages, for the 07's. Race Tuner is now available for 07's and recalibrations will be required, just as in the past except fewer "canned" maps will be offered by H-D in favour of Race Tuner. Exhaust choices will be limited, from Screaming Eagle, to 50 state legal systems. When using these and the stock air cleaner, ECM recalibrations are NOT required (the O2's have enough latitude to compensate for basically a cosmetic change). If the air cleaner is changed, recal. or SERT will be required. The aftermarket will fill the void left by SE exhaust systems. The only delay in the aftermarket will be the addition of O2 ftgs (most are making this change as we type, some already have them). In reality, the 07's make for more progressive (money wise) package selections than in the past. Up to and including the Jims 120.
Thanks. Mike

Thanks Mike, I can really rest easily with information provided. I will continue to soak up and ask for advice here. Looking forward to really putting together something special with the 07. (Softail Deluxe)
