Hi Mike
I would like to hear more about the 113 motor upgrade but can't find anything in here except the one fellow who seems happy with his. would like to know how it might be set up for trailer pulling on the 07 ultra classic. Thanks
It is basically the 103 motor with 4 1/8 inch bore cylinders. The biggest issue with building one compared to a 95 is that the engine must be removed and the cases machined, adding substantial cost. When compared to a 103 build, however, only the price diff. in the cylinders/pistons and case machining is added to the cost. When pulling a heavy load a bigger motor is always better and the 113 should be excellent for such and application. The setup would focus on torque with a fairly narrow cam and exhaust with a good 2-4K curve (DD Fatcat, VH Classic slip-ons and modifyed "y" pipe, or pos Caliber True Duals [more of a dip in the target area then the others]). Another option to consider would be the Jims's 120.
Thanks, Mike
