Hi Mike,

First, great article in this months American Iron on the Latus 95" upgrade. Congrats. Question. What is the reccomended way to map the EFI for someone who wants to pick out their own set of pipes for the dyna that has no powercommander map. Is there a custom way to do it and what are the costs? Thanks.

Thank You! We like the Screaming Eagle Race Tuner for mapping. It has more features than any product currently available which allows for more tunablility and does not remain on the bike once tuning is complete. We are also a Power Commander tuning center and this product works very well with added features continually coming online. We do recommend an H-D ECM download with the PC to reduce the likelyhood of maxed out values and allow the ability to continue to ride the bike should the PC fail (must remain on the bike to function). Finding a home for the PC on a Dyna is particularly difficult. If your modifications are mild (i.e., air cleaner and exhaust only) and you have no plans for future mods., then products like SE Race Fueler or the TFI/DFO modules work OK. Vance and Hines Fuel Pak works well so long as you have a combo that is listed on their map list (V&H exhaust's). there are other systems (Daytona Twin Tec, High Velocity, Cobra, S&S, Zippers etc.) and we can talk about these if you wish. The previouse are the most common we deal with.
The SERT and PC can be custom mapped for new combo's and the PC now has FR and RR cylinder individual mapping (advanced mode). The SERT is $460.00 and custom mapping for same is $329.95 for $789.95 total. The PC USB retails for $360.00 (Drag Specialties) and mapping is $175.00 for basic (both cylinders as one) or $275.00 advanced (each cylinder seperately) plus $149.95 for the most appropriate HD ECM calibration (not absolutely required but strongly recommended) for totals of $685.00/$785.00 ($535.00/$635.00 without ECM recal).
Thanks, Mike
