Mike I have a set of SE11 mufflers off of a 05 fat boy. They are stamped with part # 80444-R
As you said in your post before they will not fit on my 05 softail deluxe. What is special about this muffler, it came off a 95" anniversary model, I believe.
I of course, being hard headed I had to test that theory and now agree completely with you. They might fit after some serious bracket modifications but they still would not clear my passenger floorboards and factory bags. So I will try to sell the Fat Boy complete exhaust system with the SE11 mufflers so I can do something else.
Question? I don't see any SE11 mufflers for sale in any of the Harley cataloges or web sites. Does Harley still make that same SE11 muffler? It had removable baffles that you could take out by removing two bolts. I suppose you could repair or modify if you choose. I may be talking out of school here, but it seems logical that you could drill the holes and get the same kind of power that you get with aftermarket mufflers. Harley may not support that idea in light of new regs on the horizion.
What mufflers would come with the Aero kit, they are listed as SE. Would they fit on my 05 deluxe with the factory bags and passenger floorboards?
