Recently you upgraded from a Dynojet 250 to the 250i.
A few months before the upgrade, I had my 1993 FLHS dyno'd and it got 87 TQ at 2700 and topped at 87 HP.
After going to a SE single fire adjustable ignition and coil and having it re-tuned on the 250i, my numbers are now
showing 77 TQ and 74 HP. Is the drop due to the difference in dyno's, or did the ignition cause this?

There appears to be about an 8% difference between the old and new dyno's. I will re-iterate that our old dyno agreed with many other dyno's includeing AHDRA and other's in our area with repsect to the V-Rod detroyers. The new dyno does not even show the same numbers that H-D advertises for the Destroyer (the advertised numbers agreed with our dyno and others). Dynojet says the new dyno's are "correct", this may mean the older dyno's were not. We have similar reports from other shops that have made the same change and also other shops who have been using 250I's and not getting the same numbers compared to their competitors, using 250's.
A 12 HP/10tq drop more than expected with your bike. I'll review your before and after charts when back in the shop and advise. We may want you to come back, if you wish, to confirm that maybe something else is contributing to the difference.
Thanks, Mike
