Mike a friend of mine has offered to give me his SE mufflers off his 05 Fatboy. Will they fit on my 05 Softail Delux and if so will I have to have the fuel injection mapping changed?

They will not fit. The mounts are just slightly different. However an exhaust change would require a remap. Anything that changes how the motor process's air requires mapping. For 05E this is a Race Tuner or Power Commander. 06's have "race" cals now available (soon to be off backorder).

Thanks Mike! You are the man! I tried it and it don't work. You would have to put in the fat boy exhaust bracket to hold the mufflers, plus the fat boy headpipes, then change out the footpeg brackets to fat boy. Much cheaper to simply buy mufflers to fit the Deluxe.

Unfortunatley, HD does not offer much. There are some options in the aftermarket.
