Mike,
Awesome forum. I have a 05 Ultra. I am considering installing the Edelbrock Rpm Package. The mileage is 8,100 and I have added a few mod's already. SE Pro A/C, Thunder header, Baker 23/36 Primary gearing and a Power Commander with the RPM update. I also have a custom map. Bike runs well but is lacking in the power department. I do not use the bike for touring. Mostly around town. I am not afraid of revving the engine (bump the 6200 limiter allot ) I like to cruise at no less than 2,500rpm's and normally shift at about 4,000rpm's. I had a Kaw ZX12 before this bike and would like to get some of HP feeling back. Do you have any knowledge of the Edelbrock RPM EFI Kit or can you recommend a kit that would give me the power I am looking for. I also want to do gear drive cams. Horsepower and torque in the 120 range would be nice. Thanks

Mike

We've done one bike with this kit that had the dual carb settup an it did pretty well, but I'll have to review the dyno chart to remember what the numbers were (I think it is in our library under "95's other combo's"). As can be seen on our dyno library, we've done a few 95's that have gone 120+ hp but the torque usually hovers around 110-115. This may be a function of motor size in that a 95 may not have enough volume and leverage to produce these numbers and still have acceptable street manners and tunablility. You'll also see that these were fairly radical (high compression, lots of cam, open exhaust and big heads) motors that may not be the best choice for touring bikes. A 95 making those numbers will be a little more stressed than a 110hp setup. If I were to recommend a package to make those target numbers it would look something like this; Baisley Pro-Street or Hybrid heads, .630-.650 lift/250-260 duration cam (many to choose from), 11-12:1 compression, stepped head pipe system with open/large volume muffler (D&D Boarzilla), 52mm+ throttlebody and Race Tuned. I could promise 120+hp but still would predict 115 torque with a pretty big dip from 2-3.5K. Check our library and you'll see what I'm basing this analysis on.
Thank you for your compliment and using our forum! Mike
