View Full Version : Dorn's Crash
Hope Steve is doing ok and that he recovers quickly.
Any update on his condition? There was a lot of speculation
at the track about his condition and what actually happened.
Can you fill us in on what caused him to get off?

Still analysing what happened! Bike made sharp left turn into wall as soon as front wheel hit ground when Steve chopped throttle. Steve thinks it a control problem with footpeg location, the bikes width and his size/weight. He is just not able to move his weight around enough to get good control. He is doing very well and talked about the bike the whole time we were visiting. He's got some more surgery on his left arm to look forward to and may be out of action for a few months. The bike is at Weekend Frames being checked out and came through amazingly well! The destroyer program will go forward for at least the next four races (it was traveling with the Fuel team).
All of us at Latus (and pretty much every AHDRA racer) are wishing for the best possible recovery for Steve and Olympia. Mike
Steve is recovering at twice the expected rate and is chomping at the bit to get back out on the bike! We wish the best to him and his family and look forward to his and his teams return. It is a real pleasure to just have the chance to be around, and associated with, these guys at the races.

Mike that tf bike is stunning . If looks added hp this would be a 300 mph 1/4 mile rocket. Can you tell me what color it is and from what paint co. I'm thinking my dresser would look good in those clothes.
It's kind of a burnt metallic orange done by Ben's Custom Painting.
