Mike,

I'm thinking about adding a larger airfilter, now running a Screaming Eagle.... My bike is dyno tuned now and I'm curious if it should be retuned after the installation of a larger airfilter...
thank you...

Technically, the main should be changed to accomodate the higher air flow of the cleaner but this is not always true. If the a/c did not add hp, then the main would not need to be larger. Another affect can happen where with the larger air flow, the signal strenght at the emulsion tube can increase thus pulling more fuel through the jet and therefore not requireing a larger jet. The dyno would be the tool to determine this. Having said all that, the main typ. does not go up by more than one size even when it does need to be changed. A lot of guys will just go up one size to be safe. The rest of the fuel circuits should not be affected, if properly tuned.

Mike,
I forgot to mention that my bike is a '03 fuel injected, I assume that the same parameters apply? Thanks for your help....!!!

I should have asked. If it increases hp then the WOT cells would require adjusting and then less so as the throttle position drops. Below 60% tp should not require changing.
Thanks, Mike
