Has there been a change with the cable lash adjustment procedure for the '06 models? I am installing the factory Cruise unit for this model but the old procedure for holding the resume/set switch to resume is not activating the module. All appears to be fine and registering as installed but I can't get the slack out. Any ideas other than a bad unit? Thanx!! All connections are good including cable to tape.

Cable lash is the same as before. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries and it may take a bit of time before the motor rpms flare. Be sure to HOLD the resume switch when indicated. If it still does not work you may have to come in for diagnostics.
