I installed a LMR002 spring in my mild build. I am using stock cam plate and feuling lifters. Feuling advised it was not a good idea to use the spring with thier lifters because their lifters are designed to only work with feuling oil pumps. Is this BS or not? I am getting about 15 or 16 psi at idle when warm and around 45 or 46 psi at steady cruise when warm.

We've used the spring with Fueling pumps/lifters and no problems. That is an enteresting statement since Fueling's pump installation instructions tells you to stretch the stock spring, which is done to achieve the same results our spring gives. We feel that stretching the spring may allow it to relaxe back to it's original length over time, so we do not recommend this approach. As far as we could tell (and within the limits of our measurement accuracy) the Fueling lifters are virtually identical to H-D "B" lifters. Your pressure numbers sound about right for an oil temp of about 150 degrees. At 210 you should see approx. 10 at idle and 35 at cruise. It should be just 15% more than what you would have had with your original spring.

Mike, thank you. It has been cold here so I don't suppose my oil temps has gotten much above 160. I kinda figured that feuling was just doing the "ya better buy our oil pump" thing.

Just for the record, there is nothing wrong with the Fueling pump. It's an application question, I.E when is it really needed. We recommend it for big, aggressive motors with case mods which allow it to be more efficiant than a stock pump.

Thank you Mike for the quick responses. Can you think of any reason why it would not be a good idea to run the standard tc feuling lifters with the lmr002 spring and stock oil pump. thanks guest

Always nervous about going against what a manufacturer recommends but we have run this combo with no problems.
Thanks, Mike
