I bought the Latus pipe from American Sport bike. I have a 2003 Buell XB12S, I also have the K&N and race ecm. I like the sound of the Latus. My friend has the D&D on his XB9, that thing is loud sounds good. I was thinking about getting the D&D is there any reason why I should not?
We have not tested the D&D and so can only compare to what they advertise on their web site. It is a good product and we use D&D systems on many other bike combo's. They appear to have gone for mid range torque vs. horsepower (the D&D is the red curve and stock is the blue curve on the chart shown on their web site. Their stock chart is very close to ours so I believe comparing is valid). When their dyno chart is compared to ours, we carry about 3ft/lb less torque from 4k-5k but picks back up from there on, maintaining higher hp and tq than stock. Our muffler costs $196.95 less (05 CCI catalog) than the D&D and is black ceramic powder coated.
Costs less and makes more power :) .
